BSP KIDS is a global, infant development program for children one to three years of age. Early start services are aimed at changing developmental trajectories for young children who show delays in normal developmental milestones and/or at risk for autism.
Services, conducted in family homes and/or in our BSP Kids clinic consist of a combination of naturalistic, developmental behavioral intervention services (NDBI) with an emphasis on parent education and training, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. The program is designed to address all areas of need including cognitive, language, physical, and social-emotional development. Social – emotional development and building a strong parent – child relationship are critical components of our therapy. With the support of a team of professionals, parents learn how to create natural teaching opportunities throughout the day and across daily routines, thereby optimizing their child’s success.
As a part of BSP KIDS! program, families receive regular consultations with Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs), and Occupational Therapists (OTs). Our Consultants work in a team to best support the child and empower parents to become effective teachers of their children during these early years and throughout life.
Intervention services, based on each child’s assessment and individualized goals, are provided on a one to one basis with staff trained in early intervention. Skills are taught gradually and systematically while making adjustments as needed based on observations and assessments.
